Will...
Few other things are as strong as man’s will.
It can drive him to greatness or cause him
to kill.
It can make him so stubborn, so set in his ways,
no matter what’s said, his mind is closed
and there it stays.
I too was once that way; so stubborn and so proud,
where advice from others was not wanted or
allowed.
But as I grew and matured and learned a few things,
I learned to accept advice to better avoid
life’s stings.
It was easier to learn from someone who’d already been there,
who had my best interest at heart and had
experience to share.
By just doing this one thing, I cut my problems by four-fifths.
And was able to excel in life, avoiding
most setbacks and riffs.
Then I went a step higher, trusting the impressions of the Holy
Ghost.
discovering two things as I took advice
from this Heavenly Host.
One, if I would just stop forcing my will and totally trust in Him,
I could live life without ever having to
make a mistake again.
And if I showed I could be trusted to mold my will to His advice,
the Lord increased my blessings ...not by
double ...but thrice.
"...yea, we can see
that the Lord in his great infinite goodness
doth
bless and prosper those who put their trust in him."
