As I ponder the memories of my mother dear,
       her words come back so strong and clear.
"As life becomes harder and fear tries to creep in,
       remember these truths, they'll bring strength within.
Always have faith in the Lord," she said.
       "For the Savior loves you and is alive, not dead.

And remember this too, for it will calm your fears;
       you have trusted the Savior for thousands of years!
For you have not known Him just since your time with me.
       You've known Him from the beginning. From Eternity!
So don't doubt Him now or when in sorrow and pain.
       You trusted Him before.  ...So always trust Him again.

In short; if you want to be happy while steadily you grow,
       always follow the Lord; for where else is there to go?"
I've proven her words true a thousand times and more.
       They've molded my character, forming a strong inner core.
And now her words I give you so you too can know
       to trust and follow the Lord  ...for where else is there to go?
