                         The Wrestler...

I’ve heard a lot about him. They say he’s terribly strong and mean.
They say his strength will fool you. At first glance he appears lean.
He wants you to think you can take him, that he’s no threat at all.
So he smiles a friendly smile at you, while planning for your fall.
They say that he will toy with you as you wrestle upon his mat.
He let’s you think you’re stronger than he, while looking to pin you flat.
I’ve heard he’s pretty vengeful and he feels he has something to prove.
So he calculates everything he does before making a single move.

I don’t worry about him though, I know my own strength. I’m stout!
I’ve wrestled him many times before. This will prove an easy bout.
I believe I’m in better shape than he, for I win more often than I lose.
And so things don’t get out of hand, I’ll quit whenever I choose.
And though I know that most of those who wrestle with him will fail,
I’m the one who can wrestle and win, for I’m strong enough to prevail.
Yes, I’m sure I’ll be all right and I’ve come with the intent to win.
He’ll be sorry he wrestled me. He’ll see that soon after we begin.

"I heard that!" said the Wrestler. "But you forget I know you well.
I’ll wrestle you, tire you and lead you, until I drag you down to Hell.
This time I’ll use a new tactic. It will be one you haven’t seen before.
Maybe this time I’ll get you quick and drive you right to the floor.
You believe I care when I lose a match. You think and act so foolishly.
All I care is you keep coming back ...to take another chance with me.
It’s only a matter of time before I get you. Just like I did all the rest.
Those who thought they were strong ...once listed among the best."

We all think we can wrestle with the Devil, believing we can win.
We do that each time we cross the line and enter the world of sin.
Satan doesn’t care if he wins or loses. He’s not keeping score.
He is only glad you keep coming back and opening up his door.
Because he knows that sooner or later, if you keep coming around,
he’ll have the power he needs to bring your world to the ground.
Sadly, many like to think they can wrestle him and do quite well,
only to one day realize that he’s made their life ...a living hell.

"No man can enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods,
except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house."
