Off You Go
Off you go to protect and serve, doing good and fighting crime.
You know this is the path you must follow,
no regrets, no axes to grind.
There are people to meet, adventures to have, with work and fun mixed in.
With faith in your heart, you go forward,
not knowing how it will all end.
There is a purpose in all that we do, a plan eternally fixed.
How will it all come together, how will the
pieces all fit?
You must first look to God, He will help you, for He has the plans all drawn
out.
There is reason and purpose to all things,
what is your life about?
Don't get discouraged, from small things, don't be too proud of success.
Don't be afraid of failure, you won't be
loved any less.
There are many who have failed and keep trying, some give up right away.
Some never know what they're made of, some
see there is only one way.
Keep going no matter how hard it may seem, get up when you fall flat on your
face.
Keep smiling and keep on moving, always
stay in the race.
But first you must remember your heritage, your roots, your family, your home.
Not just the one on your street, but the
one where we all come from.
That's what will keep you centered; there is so much to learn.
With your badge worn proudly on your chest,
now it is finally your turn.
