Lessons In Trust...
There is a story of a young boy, perhaps seven or eight.
Who brought dinner to his father who was working late. The father was digging for water in a well dark and deep. He was working late and ignoring his need for rest and sleep. The young boy stood at the edge, looking into the dark hole, unable to see his father who stood just twenty feet below. "Dad! I’ve got your dinner," the boy said from up above. "Thanks Son. Just drop it down," the father replied with love. "But dad, I can’t see you. How do I know you’re there?" "I’m right here. Just trust me. I’ll catch it with tender care." "And knowing mom, I’ll bet she packed enough for
you too. Now, that little story is true. Far more than you may think. "...whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25 "And again the third time they did hear the voice, and did open their ears to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof; and they did look steadfastly towards heaven, from whence the sound came. And behold, the third time they did understand the voice which they heard; and it said unto them: Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name: hear ye him...they cast their eyes towards heaven; and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white robe; and he came down and stood in the midst of them...And it came to pass that he stretched forth his hand and spake unto the people, saying: Behold, I am Jesus Christ whom the prophets testified shall come into the world." 3 Hephi 11 Officer Samuel Jeppsen #3751 (Ret) R# 140, July 26th, 2003 www.LDSCOPS.com
