The Green Berets began in the early 60's. They are the elite fighting force of the US Army and were battle tested during Viet-Nam. They were so effective and so hated by the Communist North Vietnamese Government, that they placed a $15,000.00 bounty on any Green Beret captured or killed, regardless of rank. Of the over 58 thousand US Soldiers killed in Viet Nam, only about 50 were Green Berets. The estimated over-all loss ratio of enemy soldier to US Soldier for that war was about 3 to 1. For the Green Berets, it was 200 to 1. (Source: The History Channel: The True History of The Green Berets.) The point is this. They were hated by the enemy because they were so effective. They were so effective because they took it upon themselves to become highly trained and motivated and they always did their best. You and I are not here in these-later days by mistake or by chance. We were trained and set apart in the pre-existence to be here and to help prepare the way for the second coming of the Lord. In this great battle between good and evil, we are His Green Berets. That is true for everyone regardless of their position or calling, their status or ability of any kind. So keep fighting Green Beret, keep fighting.

Here I stand ...among the rest.
       May I be one ...of My Father’s best.
When I return ...unto His grace,
       may I not have ...to hide my face.

For years I’ve trained ...to come to earth.
       Many more years ...then since my birth.
I promised then ...that I would stay,
       one of the Lord’s ...great Green Berets.

Many have made ...that wondrous pledge.
       Saying they would not ...go near that ledge.
But step by step ...and time after time,
       they’d get close ...then cross the line.

It breaks my heart ...to see them fall.
       It makes me sad ...to hear Him call.
And see them run ...the other way.
       The ones who were ...His Green Berets.

They do the things ...they want to do.
       But it ends up being ...their Waterloo.
If only they saw ...who once they were,
       a soldier divine, ...once clean and pure.

Soldier beware ...of how you choose.
       If you choose wrong ...then you will lose.
Be who you were ...before today,
       one of the Lord’s ...great Green Berets.

Stand ye vigilant, ...and stand ye strong.
       Choose the right ...and shun the wrong.
Keep your honor ...and always pray,
       that you’ll remain ...a Green Beret.

Now show thy strength ...and be a man.
       Stay close to the Lord, ...stick by His plan.
And then one day ...you’ll hear Him say,
