About Life...

In this little book you will find
       gems and jewels of a different kind.
To gain money or gold I share not,
       for it is greater riches that I’ve sought.

In time what we have will slip away,
       no matter how nice, it’ll be gone one day.
Left behind will be the experience we gain,
       which will leave us with pleasure or pain.

This thing called life is but a winding road,
       containing many gifts and wealth untold.
But if you are wise, you will see
       there is a price for each opportunity.

You have the chance to study and grow,
       but you will reap the things you sow.
So choose well the things you embrace,
       for many bring sorrow and disgrace.

Life is God’s college of higher learning
       for the wise, the prudent and the yearning.
So don’t fill your mind with rubbish and soot,
       else there be no place for the good to be put.

Surely you know good and evil cannot coexist
       and that good will leave you if you persist.
So in this little book you will find
       gems and jewels of a higher kind.
